RED TIDE - NATALIA LABAKÉ
Hybrid Fiction / Documentary
France, Argentina
Feature | Color | HD
In a troubled Argentina, shaken by the turbulence of an authoritarian neoliberal regime led by Javier Milei, the disappearance of a body becomes a symptom of a country without direction, and the marine toxin a mirror of a power that paralyzes any hint of resistance.
In 1992, a marine biologist disappeared at sea while studying the amnesiac and paralyzing effects of red tide toxins.
Decades later, his daughter swallows the same toxin—not to die, but to forget.
As the red tide resurfaces in Mar del Plata, memories and pain drift amid Argentina's collapse under the storms of fascist government.
